Mission

The Office of Investments & Banking (OIB) recognizes the critical role it plays in supporting the University’s mission in providing teaching, research, and outreach for the benefit of current and future generations of students, faculty, and stakeholders across Minnesota and beyond. 

OIB’s mission is to steward the University’s financial assets in a prudent manner that produces the highest risk-adjusted investment returns and delivers first-in-class investment operations and enterprise-wide treasury management services.

The Office of Investments & Banking reports directly to the Executive Vice President for Finance & Operations of the University of Minnesota.
